Weirdness
Finding myself rather disgusted with just about everything after work last night, I decided to go relax a little and shoot some pics in Mount Carmel Cemetery. I know, it's an odd thing to find relaxing, but we've all got to have a hobby now don't we? As I got got to Carmel though, I realized there was another cemetery almost right next door to it called Trinity Lutheran that I'd never checked out. It was founded by German lutherans right around the time that Carmel was founded, and just as odd. Not overgrown like its neighbor, but strange in its own way. The first thing you see when you walk through the gate is the number of stones that have been removed from their respective grave sites for no real apparent reason. There's probably seven or eight stones like this in several piles around the entrance, all of them commemorating the lives of people who lie somewhere within the cemetery grounds. One of these stones is an older statue of two angels that's been separated from its base. There are no names or dates on the statue, just two little angels that at one time probably stood watch over the grave of a child. I took a picture of them and didn't think much of it until I got home and looked at it. I was rather taken aback by what I saw. When I loaded it up, I was instantly grabbed by what I thought was the image of a skull on the side of the angel's hair. I have since shown this pic to a lot of people, with varying results. Some see it right away, others see it after I mention it, and others never see it at all. Take a look for yourself and let me know.
